Story…. Unfortunately for Vyankatesh, this becomes his final contribution to the freedom struggle as he is killed in the gunfire. He requests Vishwanath to convey his love to Yashoda (Mahajan). Not long after Vishwanath comes home, his house is raided by British officials who know of his revolutionary links. He escapes but his family suffers. Soon, Vishwanath is directed to Inamdar’s (Gokhale) place and is assigned the duty of conveying the news of Vyankatesh’s death to his fiancee and take care of her. At Inamdar’s house, Vishwanath meets Indu (Sawant), his childhood friend who is head over heels in love with him. Refusing her advances, Vishwanath ultimately falls for Yashoda but puts his duty towards her on priority and maintains distance.
